Project Overview
AURA is BAGS' quieter, more premium counterpart to Class — a bag designed to be felt before it's noticed. We developed its softer silhouette and matte material language as a deliberate contrast to sharper, more structured pieces in the collection.

The Challenge
BAGS wanted a bag that communicated luxury through restraint rather than statement — a piece for someone who doesn't need her bag to announce itself, but still expects every material and detail to hold up to close attention.

The Approach
We moved away from Class's architectural lines toward a fluid, rounded silhouette, paired with a soft matte leather finish instead of a polished one — a small material decision that changes how the whole bag feels in the hand. Subtle gold accents were kept deliberately minimal, and protective metal feet were added underneath, a detail most people never notice until the bag has been set down on a hundred different surfaces and still looks new.

The Outcome
Aura became BAGS' limited-quantity, higher-tier piece — proof that restraint, done carefully, can read as more premium than embellishment. It's the bag customers describe as something they reach for without quite being able to explain why.
