Project Overview
Alarm O'Clock is a bedside companion designed to rethink how we wake up. Instead of relying on a phone or a jarring buzzer, it blends light, sound, and simplicity into a single object — one designed to build a genuine emotional connection with the person using it.

The Challenge
Most people now use their phone as an alarm clock, which means the first thing they touch every morning is a device built for scrolling, not waking up gently. Our client wanted an alternative — an object dedicated purely to the moment of waking, without dragging notifications and screens into it.

The Approach
We designed a cubic, industrial form with a quiet sense of personality — warm textures, friendly color accents, and simple geometry that feels more like a companion than a tool. A vertical e-ink display shows time, date, and weather, while a soft ambient light gradually rises to wake the user instead of an abrupt alarm sound. A side dial adjusts volume and light mode, and Bluetooth connectivity links the clock to a companion app — offering just enough technology without losing its analog soul.
